Hi Patty,
My second book, Faith Deployed...Again, has a section just for Blue Star Moms like yourself. Also, we have lots of blog posts written by and for military moms here on this Web site. Go to the blog categories on the right side of the page and scroll down until you see "military moms." That will be more of what you're looking for. Thank you for stopping by!

I would like to see if there is anything out there for military moms. I haven't read your devotionals, yet I really would like something that applies more to a mom and son. My boy joined less than a year ago and deploying in March. So, if you can help me, that would be great. :)

My husband and I were married about 10 months before he deployed. I had just recently moved to live with him before we found out he was deploying, we have only lived together for 4 months. Anyway I have a really good job and he is coming home soon. It was a hard deployment with a lot of arguments. Well my boss keeps telling me no way can she give me any time off, other than the day he gets home, for a couple months after. I have come to the conclusion that my marriage and my husband are more important than a job so I am putting in my notice. I was just wondering if anyone else has gone through this?

Jocelyn,

Thank you for your inspiration. On your blog you referenced the great work Virginia and Joan, founders of "The Veterans' PTSD Project
Changing the National Conversation on Post-Traumatic Stress Share Your Story." I have had the privilege to work with Virginia to post my story; "The Demons of War of Persistent" on their site: http://bit.ly/xn3Ahr. I believe the the story can be of benefit to many of those trying to understand and break the stigma of PTSD. Semper Fi! Art Schade
