Lasana Ritchie

Lasana Ritchie has a B.S. in art education, a B.A. in English education from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a Master of Arts in art and English education from the University of St. Francis.  She has taught every grade from kindergarten to college, and is currently substitute teaching for the Stafford County Schools in Virginia. When not teaching, Lasana is raising four fantastic children, throwing pottery, cross stitching, quilting, scrap booking, creating stained glass and writing her first novel. Her husband Gordon is in his eighteenth year of Navy Chaplaincy, currently serving as Regimental Chaplain for the Wounded Warrior Regiment in Quantico, Va. Her dream includes a log cabin in the woods, traveling the world to view art and sample coffee, and her biggest challenge is keeping life in balance.

sounds like you have a very full life! how i miss our visits…what kind of novel are you writing?

WOW! Sorry, I never spend much time on the web so didn’t find your response until I got the email to update my information for the books 2nd printing! Where are you these days? What are you doing? We are back in VA, just 40 miles south of DC. Ah, the novel. It will be a 10-15 year project … or more. Early America, boarding house, mute gal, Christian Fiction catagory, mostly for young women – sort of a Francine Rivers feel. Have an editor, IWU grad. helping me when I have time to write and send her things. I could tell you more, but not on line.
